About RigClinic

RigClinic publishes plain-English guides to diagnosing and fixing PC hardware problems: loud fans, high temperatures, crashes, boot failures and performance drops. The goal is simple: help you find the cause of a problem quickly, without wading through years-old forum threads.

How guides are made

  • Most likely cause first. Every guide is ordered from the quickest, safest checks to the more involved fixes, so you don't open your case for something a setting or driver update would solve.
  • Checked against official sources. Temperature limits, specifications and settings are checked against documentation from manufacturers such as NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, and motherboard and power supply makers, rather than repeated from forums.
  • Clear about risk. When a fix involves opening hardware, changing BIOS settings or could affect your warranty, the guide says so before you start.
  • Kept up to date. Hardware and drivers change. Each guide shows the date it was published or last reviewed, and guides are corrected when something changes or a reader reports an error.
